GRADY ARCHBOLD
// Certainly a mainstay in the competitive world of skimboarding, Grady
has consistently gone above and beyond to put out phenomenal video parts
as well. His skimboarding fame has drawn heavily from his persistence
with technical tricks and this aspect certainly helps him in the fickle
conditions present at contests.
BILL BRYAN
// Household name, 11 wins at the Victoria World Championships, and having
recently risen over the cusp of thirty years of age, he continues to turn
heads with his fantastic abilities on a skimboard. Though frequently
absent from the 2007 contest scene, his video parts kept his presence in
the world of skimboarding strong.
GEORGE BRYAN
// Continuing to show up on tour with a reinvigorated competitive
attitude, George refuses to slow down. Constantly skimboarding, he has
slowly taken the role of mentor to many up and coming groms. He also
continues to promote skimboarding through the skimboarding films he
creates with his brother, Bill Bryan.
BRAD DOMKE
// An up and comer also nominated for Breakthrough Performer of the Year,
Brad Domke has slid comfortably into the role of Floridian Ambassador that
Brad Evers occupied not too long ago. His smooth style and competitive
edge almost toppled Paulo Prietto from his top spot in the UST and left
Brad Domke with a solid second place finish.
MORGAN JUST
// With two amazing video parts in one year, first in Sicky Rolla and then
burning up the majority of Dayz, you can’t sit in front of your TV without
realizing why Morgan Just was nominated for Male Skimboarder of the Year.
Competitively, he makes the East Coast his second home during the contest
season and is a mainstay at most pro events. His ability to go above and
beyond at hectic spots like the Wedge make him a heavy contender for Male
Skimboarder of the Year.
KOTY LOPEZ
// Backside hits are all you tend to hear about when Koty is mentioned,
but he’s no one trick pony. His skimboarding amazes onlookers, and even
more so once you realize just how tall he is. Whether he’s pulling into
macking Aliso or scwhacking his way through connections at West, his style
and ability put him at the forefront of the skimboarding talent pool.
PAULO PRIETTO
// No longer the unproven young skimboarder, Paulo Prietto has taken top
honors for three years in a row. He travels constantly, exploring new
skimboarding and putting together some of the most solid video parts to
come out of skimboarding to date. Grom favorite and all around nice guy,
he’s certainly set to give the other nominees a run for their money.
BRANDON SEARS
// Whether he’s launching ridiculous, gravity-defying airs or executing
text book wraps, someone always seems to be around to catch it on film to
show the world. He took it one step further this year with a rededicated
attitude and a driven look at the world of skimboarding; something we
caught an early glimpse of through his fantastic section in Bearded.
JASON WILSON
// If one skimboarder from the East Coast melds into the West Coast scene
more fluidly than Jason Wilson, we haven’t met him. Huge Aliso or
all-time Delaware; Jason skims more solidly and consistently on both than
most professional riders can claim to. His strong presence on both the
UST and SkimUSA display his amazing balance between both coasts.
BRENDAN STEVENS
// With one of the most aggressive, powerful skimboarding styles around,
Brendan (Noogie) stands out on the beach. The raw speed he exerts would
make a track star jealous and he isn’t scared to exert all of that forward
momentum onto the face of a wave. His talent loses nothing on the big
screen as his video parts consistently show the world why he’s a Male
Skimboarder of the Year nominee.

LEXI HUTCHINGS
// Turning heads in skimboarding as a female can be relatively
challenging…but turning heads in the world of flatland can be even more
so. Lexi is certainly turning her fair share of heads. With an
unreserved, unabashed style and complete lack of fear concerning the heavy
duty rails she frequents, she’s guaranteed to continue making waves in the
world of flatland.
ANNA PROPHET
// Taking a top spot in any contest is tough; imagine doing it in junior
men’s, as a female. After entering this incredibly tough division due to
a lack of female participants, she amazed everyone by defying expectations
and placing third; Female Skimboarder of the Year material for sure.
KRISTINA GRAF
// When your brother has made a name in the world of skimboarding
photography, you would expect exposure to come easily. This wasn’t the
case with Kristina, who still had to give it her all and work her way to
the forefront of competitive skimboarding.
CAITLYN WEIR
// Long known as one of the best female skimboarders on the East Coast,
Caitlyn shows no signs of slowing down. With yet another fantastic
contest season under her belt, her consistency is practically unrivaled in
the world of skimboarding.
JEN JACOBS
// Fellow nominee Matt Ratoni describes Jen as a girl who can “hang with
any dude, any day”. This may have just become evident to some after her
performance at the annual SkimFest contest this year, but she has been
building her skill level for some time now. Another flatland skimboarder
who isn’t afraid to put in time on a rail, she was an obvious nominee for
Female Skimboarder of the Year.
